Mon to Fri: 8.30am-7.30pm / Sat: 9.30am-3pm Coimbra City Council is open to citizens for all their needs, now with an extended General Assistance Service, where the many services fall into three main areas:
- Municipal Information: Including such areas as Tourism, Education, Social Work, Culture, Sport, Parks, Social Housing, Cemeteries, among others;
- General Administration: various laws and requirements, licence and certificate requests, cards, submission of candidacy for RECRIA, RECRIPH, PROCOM programmes, as well as Coimbra Com Mais Encanto (‘Coimbra with More Magic’), military service and registry for European Union citizenship;
- Urban Administration: various licensing, registration and other requests, complaints, private building works, and consultancy for procedures, surveys and prolonging deadlines.

- As well as:
- Sale of SMTUC transport entitlement (except passes);
- Charging for water rates by ‘AC - Águas de Coimbra, E.M.’ (Coimbra Water Authority)
