“Little Market” in the Botanical Gardens
The Little Market of the Botanical Gardens is recommended for those who prefer organic agricultural products and defend sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption. It opens every Saturday, at S. Bento Alley in the University’s Botanical Gardens (entrance from Martim de Freitas St., close to Arcos do Jardim).
Fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers, jams and other products from small-sized agricultural units of the region can be purchased here. Admission is free.
The Botanical’s Little Market is intended to be a market place for sustainable agriculture products, to foster the development of organic agriculture in the region, to assist ecologically aware consumers in their search for quality products, to provide a space for the exchange of information on alternatives to conventional products as well as to contribute for the development of healthier and more environmentally friendly habits.
Opening hours: 9am to 1pm.
