Municipal Museum – Louză Henriques Collection


In 2004 a set of musical instruments, collected by Doctor Louzã Henriques, became part of the Municipal Museum, housed in the former Gallery of the Tourist Office at Portagem. Its first exhibition, on the Portuguese guitar, was organised around the theme of Coimbra song and popular celebrations.
Now renovated, the gallery was opened on 18 May, International Museum Day, with an exhibition of stringed instruments, arranged according to geographic origin.
