Situated in the Dr. Manuel de Braga Park, the museum is housed in a former water collection plant dating from 1922.

It is a place full of memories, inspired by the permanent dialogue between Coimbra and the River Mondego.
The museum’s annual cultural programme includes a large number of activities and events, including exhibitions of painting, sculpture, video and art installations, concerts, publication of books, seminars and workshops.
