 Designed by the architects Souto Moura and Siza Vieira for Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany, the Pavilion, sited in the Parque Verde on the right bank of the Mondego, is 1375 square metres in area, and hosts exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events. Management of the building and programming of activities has been devolved by the City Council for a 5-year period to the Orquestra Clássica do Centro.
